Since 2025
Located close to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. The Butterfly Home operates in Antipolo City, Rizal, as a long-term safe haven for girls who have been rescued from sexual abuse and exploitation. Currently, 43 girls call this place their home.
OUR BUTTERFLIES
The girls who come to the Butterfly Home are wrapped tightly in a cocoon of silence, fear, and pain. All have experienced trauma that no child should ever have to face, sexual abuse or exploitation, along with abandonment, verbal abuse, or neglect, and as a result, they’ve learned to protect themselves by shutting the world out.
At first, their faces are expressionless, their eyes are dull, filled with tears, their voices are barely whispers, and their hearts are cautious. But slowly, in the safety of a home filled with compassion, patience, and unconditional love, something begins to shift. Day by day, they start to feel seen, slowly smiles as bright as the sun, eyes filled with hope, and voices louder than ever return. They emerge from their cocoon into the beautiful, vibrant butterflies they always were. Their transformation is not just a healing journey; it’s a testament to the power of love, resilience, and hope.
Foundations Of Our Care
Meaningful Belonging
We strive to create meaningful belonging by providing a safe, nurturing environment for our girls. By emphasising emotional healing, individual care, and a strong sense of community, we ensure each girl feels valued, seen, and supported. Through personalized attention, education, and opportunities for growth.
Creating a True Home
Many of our girls come from broken homes, often exploited within the very walls that they feel safest in. While we may never replace their biological families, we are committed to creating a family-like home. Through shared meals, daily routines, and consistent care, we build trust, provide unwavering support, and nurture strong bonds, helping each child feel truly seen, valued, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Attachment-Focused
We are deeply attachment-focused, understanding that healing begins with building safe, trusting relationships. Our dedicated house moms provide consistent, nurturing care, becoming reliable and loving figures our childern can depend on. They create a supportive environment where each girl feel secure and valued. This focus on attachment helps our girls form healthy emotional bonds, essential for their healing and growth.
Where We Serve
Antipolo, Rizal
In the hills just outside the capital of the Philippines lies Antipolo a city of breathtaking views and quiet strength. Where morning fog drapes the treetops and the cool mountain breeze whispers through lush forests. This is Antipolo, where nature offers peace and promise just beyond the chaos of the capital.
But behind its beauty and rising cityscape lies a quieter, more painful reality.
Many families here struggle in the shadows, caught between the high cost of living and limited access to opportunity. Children grow up in unstable homes, some facing neglect, abuse, or abandonment within the very spaces meant to protect them.
Antipolo is a place of contrast, where the land offers hope, but many lives remain marked by hardship. And it is here, in this quiet ache, where the mission of the Butterfly Home takes root: to bring healing, stability, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most.
From "The Butterfly Project" to The Butterfly Home
The Butterfly Project was established in 2013 by American missionaries through First Love International Ministries Philippines. In 2025, First Love completed their season with the Butterfly Project, and they entrusted it into the hands of the Timothy Project. With prayerful hearts and open arms, Timothy Project received the mission. Believing that God was not ending a story but continuing it. Now known as The Butterfly Home under Timothy Project, the heart remains unchanged.
